FAQs
How can I access 24LA’s resources if I’m a fire-affected resident?
We operate across three connected areas: Relief (emergency essentials through our Community Relief & Recovery Center), Recovery (connecting families to mental health, financial, and benefits resources), and Renewal (rebuilding shared community spaces — murals, restored schools, revived storefronts — with local artists and residents).
To access resources, schedule an appointment using the Shopping Appointments sign-up link on our website, or through the link in our Instagram bio. Please bring a valid photo ID with proof of your affected address.
What items can I receive through your organization?
We have new and gently used clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty and skincare, home goods, furniture, and other essentials for individuals and families of all ages.
How long will your organization be operating?
We will continue providing support for Los Angeles fire relief efforts through 2026 and beyond. In the new year, 24LA’s focus will transition to meet the long term disaster relief needs in Los Angeles. Our commitment to serving our community in need will remain at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to serving fire-affected families through 2026 and beyond. As immediate relief needs evolve, our programs will evolve with them — expanding into long-term recovery, community programming, and neighborhood beautification. We are focused on filling the gap in long term recovery that often gets overlooked.
How can I volunteer with your organization?
We welcome volunteers of all ages and skill levels! Sign up through the Volunteer Form on our website or linked in our Instagram bio. Shifts are typically available Wednesday–Friday 10:30am–4pm and alternating Saturdays 10:30am–5pm at our warehouse.

Why does 24LA still exist, this far out from the fires?
Because the recovery isn’t over. Eighteen-plus months after the Eaton and Palisades fires, 70% of fire-affected families remain displaced, 83% say their mental health is worse than before the fires, and 100+ new families are still arriving at our door every month — many after finding little support elsewhere. National attention and emergency-phase funding have moved on. 24LA hasn’t. We’ve evolved from emergency relief into a long-term recovery and community renewal organization built to stay for the years this actually takes.
Is my donation tax-deductible? How is 24LA structured?
Yes. 24LA is a fiscally sponsored project of Youth Leadership Incubator Inc., dba Hack+, a 501(C)(3) public charity (EIN 81-1543325). Donations are made to Hack+ on 24LA’s behalf, and you’ll receive a tax receipt directly from our fiscal sponsor.
